How Pathfinder measures, matches, and increases performance

Measure

We evaluate how individuals navigate Change, demonstrate Personal Leadership, and Collaborate.

Match

We blend assessment insights with skills to align candidates with roles and teams, using algorithms that combine traditional matching with AI and human judgment.

Increase Performance

Based on these measurements, Pathfinder designs team workshops and recruitment strategies to elevate collective performance.

Three Underlying Models

Our assessments are built on three frameworks that look at how people relate to Change, Personal Leadership, and Collaboration.

1. Change Model

"Paths of Change" — Will McWhinney

The model identifies four unconscious preferences: recognizing when change occurs, providing new structure, recognizing change's value, and envisioning guidance for others navigating change.

2. Personal Leadership Model

"Paradoxical Leadership" — Robert E. Quinn

This framework addresses how individuals handle competing demands, where choices have to be made between opposing forces. Leadership here emphasizes mindset and meaning-making rather than authority.

3. Collaboration Model

Based on the same contradictory value model as the other two, this assesses whether individuals approach context from their own perspective or externally, and their preference for individual versus collective action.
